I use this section of the site to track of the history of Girl Gamers United.

It all started in December 2004. Girl Gamers United was lanched on December 5th and was hosted by Cryptor-Child. The domainname was purchased a few weeks before that and was bought at Netground. Seeing as GGU was a very small site and I had no idea if it would grow to any extent I did not buy my own server space.

The site started out very small and without much content. I had created a couple of graphics and had writen two reviews prior to the site's release, but compaired to other sites this was almost nothing. The forum was fully functional when the site was launched. I promoted my arse off and was happy to see that people joined the forum and visited the site. Not only that, but people also applied to be staff members! The staff grew quickly and before I knew it almost every open position had been filled. The layout that the site started with was one that featured Tifa Lockheart, as she appears in the Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children movie, which you can see on the right. I chose Tifa because she is one of the tougest game girls I know and I thought that she'd be perfect to represent Girl Gamers United

Thanks to the new staffmembers more graphics were added and I faithfully continued to write new reviews. I sent out a lot of Affiliation requests and sites even applied to be Affiliated with Girl Gamers United. The inbox of the site email was often full with questions and people that just wanted to say they liked the site. I felt proud and doubled my efforts. The forum soon had close to 30 members and I met a lot of fun people. I soon got bored with the original layout (I do that alot) and I made another one. This one featured Link as he appears in the new Legend Of Zelda game. Instead of giving this layout a very cool game girl like Tifa I decided that it was time for a different approach and I gave this layout a very high fan girl level instead.
